Blue Shell Edged Pearlware Plate
Circa 1820
This is a quality reproduction of an early nineteenth century featheredge plate. This design was common from the last quarter of the eighteenth century until the end of the nineteenth century. Our reproduction is based on an early example and would be appropriate in settings up to the late 1860's.
Our reproduction is of the large dinner plate. Fragments of this form are common archaeological finds on Civil War battlefields, encampments and domestic sites.
Our plate is patterned after an example excavated in Tidewater Virginia.
