Blue Canton 5 Piece Place Setting
Circa 1780
The most fashionable tables of the early American Republic were set with blue and white Canton or Nanking wares, named for the great Chinese trading ports from which they came. Chinese blue and white porcelain was in demand in this country well into the nineteenth century. This fine ware is an exacting Historic Charleston Foundation reproduction of the Blue Canton Pattern.
The set includes the 10" Dinner Plate, 8" Dessert Plate, 6" Bread and Butter Plate, and the Tea Cup and Saucer.
